Gina Ayvazian got turned on to jewelry making in her High School Crafts class. She's enjoyed her Northampton studio for 18 years, where she meets with customers mostly by appointment for specialty pieces including anything from ear cuffs to wedding rings. Northampton's large gay community has long been loyal customers.

handmade jewelry has sold in most of the jewelry stores and galleries in Northampton's beautiful artistic community, as well as in Vermont, Connecticut, Shelburne Falls, Provincetown, New York and New Jersey. Gina has many stones on hand and stones in the rough, which she can cut and polish in her lapidary. Mostly, Jade, turquoise, amethyst, lapis, rose quartz, obsidian, etc. Some particularly unique
handmade rings have been crafted from baby teeth or extracted wisdom teeth which have been cut and polished to resemble ivory. Also popular over the years have been her mini-tools collection. Tiny saws , hammers, and paint brushes made from silver, copper and brass are collected by carpenters and worn as pendants and on key chains. | |
